YouthLinx ... phone 5495 8201YouthLinx provides meaningful activities for young people aged between 11-16. We offer creative after
school and holiday activities.

We also provide a service to young people and their families in the Caboolture Shire. This includes facilitation and support to help deal with difficulties such as
family conflict, lack of communication or other issues that impact on their well-being.
We have current agreements with Caboolture East State School and Morayfield State School to provide an on-campus presence to fulfil the above purpose.

Transitions - Child Safety ... phone 5495 7534Transitions assists young people (aged between 10 and 18) in care of the Department of
Child Safety, with behavioural, social and life skill needs. Each client is case managed - an individual plan is mapped to suit needs. Referrals can only be taken from the Department
of Child Safety.

Youth Training and Employment Services
YJET ... phone 5495 2585YJET is an alternative learning program for 15 to 17 year olds who are not currently enrolled in any other
education program or employed. The program is suited to individual needs and offers accredited training in Year 10 Maths, English and Computing.
Where applicable, help with other life skills is provided.
The project is funded by Education Queensland (through ETRF) and is delivered by CAYS in partnership with Department of Communities - Caboolture Youth Justice, and
Education Queensland - Deception Bay State High School.
Primary referrals are from Caboolture Youth Justice but other referrals from Centrelink may be considered.

Get Set For Work Program
Caboolture Project: 5495 2585 and Caboolture South Project: 5495 3946This program (GSFW), a youth training and employment
program, provides intensive assistance for 15 to 17 year olds who are not currently enrolled in mainline schooling. The projects provide intensive assistance in respect to identified
training and employment needs.
An important aspect of this program is also the partnership with BNIT (TAFE), which delivers an innovative training package, enabling young people to gather
information and some practical experience within a range of a number of skill shortage industries.
GSFW may offer work experience/work placement.
GSFW also provides the opportunity for young people to obtain Year 10 Maths and English through the Access 10 program.

Adult Training and Employment Services
Employment Assistance Program ... phone 5495 2585Employment Assistance will be provided to long-term unemployed people - 18 plus - who have been
identified as having significant barriers to achieving and maintaining employment.
They will be offered personal support one on one and in small groups to address these issues. This support will be ongoing as they participate within their CJP, TIC (see below) or
other work preparation projects.

Community Jobs Plan - Work Placement Program (CJP)
... phone 5495 2585CJP provides the opportunity for a target group of unemployed people to work for 15 weeks on a specific project. This paid,
on-the-job training, support and experience provides updated work skills and workplace knowledge and also assists participants become more motivated, with a marked increase in
self-confidence. Each project is based on teamwork, in a simulated office environment.
Networking with the business community along with career development, has opened up options for many participants on past projects, including the self-employment option. We recruit
people who have the drive to succeed in gaining on-going employment and who are willing to learn during the work placement.
CJP - WP Programs are funded by the state government (DET) under their Breaking the Unemployment Cycle initiative.

Training in Communities (TIC) ... phone 5495 2585Training in Communities Program provides vocational training in five different fields
in which there are skill shortages. Participants need to commit to a five-week training period - three weeks of TAFE Training, one week of job search and interpersonal skills training
and one week of work experience.
It addresses a range of valuable interpersonal, life and work-related skills, as well as providing participants with opportunities to apply their skills "hands on" in a
relevant industry placement in the fifth week. This is designed to enhance the possibility of securing meaningful and ongoing employment.

The program is funded by the Department of Employment and Training (DET), and is a joint initiative between Caboolture Area Youth Services Inc (CAYS), DET and Brisbane
